About The Shard
The Shard is one of London’s most instantly recognisable landmarks, piercing the city skyline with a striking glass façade and bold, futuristic design. Located in Southwark, right by London Bridge Station, this 72 storey skyscraper stands at an incredible 310 metres tall. This marks the structure as the tallest building in the UK and a symbol of modern London’s incredible ambition and innovation.
Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano and completed in 2012, The Shard was envisioned as a “vertical city”. Inside, you’ll find a mix of luxury residences, office spaces, restaurants, bars, and the five star Shangri-La Hotel, as well as The View from The Shard, a sky-high observation deck offering breathtaking panoramic views of the capital.
